Soleseife (pronounced so-lay-zife) is a traditional style of soap made with saltwater rather than plain water. The salt water helps create a bar that feels firmer, smoother, and silky against the skin, while producing a dense, creamy lather. Unlike a traditional salt bar, the salt is dissolved into the liquid before the soap is made, so you get the benefits of salt without the gritty texture of salt crystals.
For our Midnight Pomegranate, we use salt water collected from Treasure Island, Fl, bringing a little piece of the coast into every handcrafted bar. 🌊
Our Soleseife is made with a nourishing blend of beef tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, and castor oil. Kaolin clay adds a soft, silky feel, while silk fibers help contribute to the bar's luxurious lather and skin feel. A touch of mica gives this bar its enchanting midnight appearance.
The result is a beautifully hard, long-lasting bar with a creamy, velvety lather and a scent that's dark, fruity, and irresistibly elegant.
